West African School Certificate (WASC), NECO or GCE ‘O’ level with credits in four science subjects including Mathematics and at least a pass in English Language.

1. Duration – 2 years

Students undergo industrial attachment/excursion to leading establishments in the country.

2. Admission Requirements

A pass at the West African School Certificate (WASC), NECO, GCE ‘O’ level or equivalent qualification but without relevant credits.

1. f) EXTERNAL EXAMINER

An external examiner is involved to moderate examination question papers before the final examination and conduct a viva voice examination on each ND or HND student on his or her project work. The final report is released after it has been endorsed by the external examiner.

Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA)

1. CUMULATIVE GRADE POINT AVERAGE (CGPA)

This is the up-to-date mean of the grade point earned by the student in a programme of study. It is an indication of the student’s overall performance at any point in the training programme. To calculate the Cumulative Grade Point Average, the total grade points multiplied by the respective credit units for all the semesters are added and then divided by the total number of credit units of all courses registered by the student.

1. COURSE EVALUATION

Continuous Assessment should be a significant student’s a component of the assessment of performance in a course. It should constitute between 30% of the final grade awarded. The Grade Point Average (GPA) and the Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) systems are the yardsticks for evaluating student performance from term to term. The final Diploma classification should be based on the final CGPA ranges contained in the table.

1. j) STUDENT MISCONDUCT

Disciplinary action will be taken against any student involved in one or more of the following actions:

1. Cult activity

1. Theft

iii. Assault

1. Examination malpractice

1. destruction of school property

1. Any action within the school premises which is likely to cause breach of peace.

vii. Any criminal offence within or outside the school premises which is likely to damage the reputation of the school.
